new experience

It was second time for me to take part in the field trip since I came to the LINC school.

The subject of this field trip is farm visiting and you can buy some favorite vegetables back to home.

Today is same beautiful day as the 1st field trip, though the weather forecast predicted it would be raining.

My classmate Brenna picked up me in front of the door of my apartment, then Brenna drove Max, Majid and I to the farm.

The most classmates had arrived at the farm when we reached. They told us we could pick only two kinds of vegetables---corns & beans, but we might buy some other vegetables which were put in the small indoor market. I thought the corns & beans were enough for me.

The owner introduced the knowledge of corns to us before we began to pick. How to choose? Which is better? Which is sweeter? Then everyone enjoyed the picking, someone even tasted the whole raw corn. I tasted a grain of the corn, it was very very sweet.

Joyce and Max reminded me I didn't need to pick too many, because I lives alone at present. Finally, accepting the advice told from Joyce and Max, I picked a little of yellow beans & green beans, and 8 corns. I paid $2.75 to the farmer. I didn't know whether the price was cheap, as I lived in the Toronto only for 1.5 months, but it was OK, I enjoyed this field trip very much. Everyone took pleasure in joining the activity. It was a good and new experience for me.

Now I am hungry, let's eat corns^-^

Reduce & Ribfest

Today is Friday, 1st Aug 2014, and it also is the 3rd day since I came to the LINC.

I am so happy to know some new kind friends in the class.

It is the first time to take part in the field trip for me, I went to Scarborough last week  by 190 bus & another bus, so I know it is not near from my home. Thanks for my Korean classmate Silvia (if I spell your name improperly, please forgive me ^-^), I went to our destination and back by her car. Thank you so much.

The subject of this filed trip is "REDUCE AND RIBFEST".

We gathered together in the Don mills subway station at 9:45 am, then we departed for the 1st destination----"Goodwill Store".

Although no one knows exactly how much garbage can be produced in a person's life, we realize pollution and waste become more and more terrible in the world. Everyone has responsibility to protect our earth and our living environment. 

Goodwill is a green group to protect environment. Goodwill store is a palace where you can make good use of the second-hand goods and waste. You can bring some things that you like to go home by spending few money, for example, clothes,books, CDs and home decoration etc.

It is not only recycling but also donation.

I bought a series of novels "Twilight" written by Stephenie Meyer, because I like the movies rearranged from the novels, and I like the main actress very much. The sentences of the novels is short and easy to understand, the most content is conversation. 

Only $5.1 for the 5 books and 1 small wall decoration of home.

We went to the 2nd destination---" Thomson Memorial Park "after we visited the Goodwill store,

Everyone bathed the sunlight with taking pictures, chatting together and enjoying the good foods.

What a wonderful day is, I love our class and wish happy weekend for everyone.
